1. MISTRESSES

You wouldn’t expect a drama series with this title to make it on the list of ‘TV Moms’. LOL.

Scandals aside, one of the characters who go by the name April (played by Rochelle Aytes) is a single mom raising a daughter who – despite the circumstances – is an exemplary young scholar. April was left by her now deceased husband who wasn’t all that faithful. She operates a shop selling household items (in funky and colorful designs) in order to raise her family because her husband left her penniless, with only full of lies.

However, April has not called it quits in the love department. She’s still on the quest for the right guy and in the last season, she apparently had fallen in love with a much younger man.

What I like about April:

She’s

  1. Firm
  2. Responsible
  3. Elegant
  4. Kind

On this note, a new season of Mistresses will be back this 30th May!!!!

2. THE GOOD WIFE

Every woman who dreams of becoming a lawyer will definitely be struck by awe watching Alicia Florrick (played by Julianna Margulies) rise in action in court. Like April from Mistresses, her husband cheated on her too who is unfortunately adored by many, as he is a major public figure.

The show depicts how Alicia – who had become a stay-at-home mother for 13 years after getting married – picks up where she left off in her legal career. After endless struggles and challenges, as well as having to sink and swim on the same level with associates much more junior than her, she finally manages to catch up in the legal marathon.

VANCOUVER - APRIL 3: THE GOOD WIFE is a new CBS fall drama starring Emmy Award winner Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick, a wife and mother who must assume full responsibility for her family and re-enter the workforce as a defense attorney after her husband's very public sex and political corruption scandal lands him in jail. THE GOOD WIFE will premiere this Fall, Tuesdays (10:00-11:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. (Photo by Eike Schroter/CBS via Getty Images)

What I like about Alicia:

She’s

  1. Hardworking
  2. Fierce
  3. Independent
  4. Calm

3. MODERN FAMILY

In this hilarious TV series, Claire Dunphy (played by Julie Bowen) is a mother to 3 children and wife to a quirky husband. She’s truly the modern mom who’s pretty open-minded and your best friend. A little absent-minded, but she hasn’t lost her maternal instincts.

MODERN FAMILY - "Do Not Push" - It's Jay and Gloria's anniversary and they can't seem to get on the same page on what kind of gift to give - sentimental or expensive? And, the Dunphys head to Caltech for Alex's college tour and while Claire is busy convincing her to choose this school and stay close to home, Phil, Luke and Haley branch off to participate in a psyche experiment. Mitch and Cam are taking a new family portrait with Lily to replace the old one above their mantel, but Lily gives some serious face, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Eric McCandless) JULIE BOWEN, ARIEL WINTER

What I like about Claire:

She’s

  1. Bubbly
  2. Fun
  3. Loving
  4. Funny

4. BLACK-ISH

This is another super hilarious TV sitcom. It’s about an African-American family who upholds strongly the value of being…African-American. The mother, Rainbow Johnson (played by Tracee Ellis Ross) however is a little more liberal than the father when it comes to the embracement of this traditional value. Rainbow’s character is a perky working mom to 4 children – she’s a doctor – who lives life to the fullest and doesn’t take everything seriously.

What I like about Rainbow:

She’s

  1. Exemplary
  2. Hilarious
  3. High on Life
  4. Flexible

Can’t wait for the new season of Mistresses!
